Since it’s December, I have been asked by the management at Twiisted, my place of employment, to come up with some holiday beverages that would help bring the holiday season in the right way. I think this first one will peak your interest.
The Moscow Mule has been making a comeback these past few years and is probably one of the most popular drinks out there today. Other than being quite a tasty and refreshing beverage, the attraction is the copper mug that it comes in.
Many people don’t know that the Moscow Mule is the original vodka here in the states. This original cocktail recipe has been around since 1939, when vodka was an unknown spirit trying to show its presence in a whisky nation. As you probably already know, it went from this to being where it is today, where 25% of all liquor consumed is vodka.
At Twiisted, we have an assortment of different mule cocktails that seem to sell rather well. I have come up with this particular recipe to get the Holiday Beverages kick-started in the right fashion. I will have several more seasonal drinks for you to check out as the month progresses.
Enjoy your week! Cheers!
1 1/2 oz. Cherry Vodka
Splash of Lime Juice
2 oz. Cranberry Juice
Method: Build this cocktail in a copper mug, pouring the first three ingredients to measure. Top off with ginger beer. Add a lime half-wheel on the rim of the glass. Drop about six – eight sun-dried cranberries on top of the drink.
