North Carolina would become part of the original thirteen states on this date in 1789, when it became the 12th state of the United States.  To celebrate this, how about a drink that shares it’s name.

The Carolina Cocktail is an interesting cream cocktail that has egg whites as part of its recipe.  The egg whites, when shaken properly, gives you a nice frothy top to the cocktail and gives it a smooth texture when going down.  A must try!
