The Airmail is June 4th Drink of the Day!!

Champagne cocktails are very popular this time of year. With weddings, graduations, anniversaries, and family reunions going full-swing in the coming months, it’s nice to introduce a cocktail that showcases the bubbly, then gives you even more while entertaining guests at these sometimes lavish get-togethers. Here’s a Drink of the Day to keep in your list of party favorites when hosting such an event.

Keep in mind, when drinking one of these, that the alcohol content will be rather substantial with the addition to the rum and combining it with the champagne. You may want to take a little longer sipping on this and enjoying the flavors of citrus and honey that compliment this beverage very well.

 

Airmail Cocktail

1 oz. White Rum

1 Tsp. Lime Juice

1 Tsp. Honey Infused Simple Syrup

Champagne or Sparkling Wine

 

Method: Build this in a champagne flute by first adding the three ingredients. Using a stir stick, stir to blend in these ingredients. Top off with champagne or sparkling wine. Stir again, not too much to irritate the bubbly. Take a lemon twist and rub it gently on the rim of the glass before dropping it into the drink for garnish.
