Happy Memorial Day, every one! This is the day to remember those who have fought for our freedoms and sacrificed their lives in doing so. We have much to be thankful for, living in the United States. Now, if we could get the politicians in this country to stop living on their agendas and start acting like Americans, maybe we would not have to work so hard on keeping the freedoms they have yet to take away from us. Alright, enough of the soapbox. Let’s get to today’s Drink of the Day!

After two days of some very strong and dangerous cocktails, it is time for one to tone down on. Most of us will be going back to work tomorrow, so I think this drink will be a perfect weekend-ender. A nice and refreshing and less-dangerous concoction that will be perfect with that hamburger or hotdog that you will be cooking on the grill. I wish you all a pleasant and enjoyable Monday off. Just remember why we are all at home today and toast those who have fought hard to give us the freedoms that we have all taken for granted from time to time. God Bless America!!

Amaretto Breeze

1 1/2 oz. Amaretto

1/2 oz. Coconut Rum

Pineapple Juice

Cranberry Juice

Method: Build this in a highball glass filled with ice by first pouring in the amaretto and coconut rum to measure. Add equal parts of pineapple juice and cranberry juice to top it off. Stir. Add a wedge of lime on the rim of the glass for a garnish.
