How about a little comfort cocktail to get you to bed early tonight, so you can prime yourself for the easy Friday, which will bring us into the weekend? Let’s make this Drink of the Day one that will put you in the right state of mind for a good slumber. A perfect way to end the short work week with a sound mind and body to get you ready to have yourself a nice and relaxing weekend.

A nice little play on words, this cocktail is named for Haley’s Comet. Made to be a sipping dessert beverage, this cream cocktail has a slight hint of chocolate and finished with some soda to give it some fizz. You may want to get your jammies on. You won’t be much use after enjoying one of these. A perfect drink to nod off to for a nice and long slumber to get you through the last work day of the week. Cheers!

 

Bailey’s Comet

3/4 oz. Irish Cream

1/2 oz. Light Creme de Cacao

1/2 oz. Vodka

1/2 oz. Half and Half

Soda

 

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in the first four ingredients to measure. Cap and shake to combine the ingredients. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top off with soda. Add a straw and serve.
