We sometimes get caught up in believing that you have to put several ingredients in a drink, and know some ancient secrets of some lost tribe to get a unique cocktail. Some even believe that you need to have a new liqueur or flavored vodka to get something that gives you the flavor you are looking for. The reality is that you have many options when making a beverage of choice. Like this cocktail, sometimes even the simplest ingredients will give you the flavor and combination that will satisfy your tastes.

This drink calls for four ingredients that will be easily accessible to you. The whiskey/vodka combination is questionable, I know. But, the fresh lemon along with the cola really give this drink a well rounded flavor that is not only pleasantly pleasing to the palate, it is about as simple as it comes to putting together. A great Friday Drink of the Day to get your weekend started on the right track.
