The Blue Marine is June 16th Drink of the Day!!

Blue Curacao is a great ingredient due to its color and sweetness in any summertime cocktail. One ingredient that is somewhat different in this mix is the butterscotch schnapps. Once you taste this, you will be surprised yourself that the combination of vodka and butterscotch schnapps isn’t more common.

This drink has all the characteristics you are looking for in a cocktail for this time of year: the citrus backdrop, the color, and the fancy glass. Now, throwing in the schnapps brings another dimension that I know will become one of your all-time favorites. Happy Monday!

 

Blue Marine

1 1/2 oz. Vodka

3/4 oz. Blue Curacao

1 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps

Lemonade

 

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in the first four ingredients to measure. Add about an ounce and a half of lemonade to the mix. Cap with a tin and shake to blend the ingredients. Strain into a tulip glass filled with ice. Top off the drink with more lemonade. Stir. Garnish with a wheel of lemon on the rim of the glass.
