When this drink was printed in the Savoy Cocktail Book back in the 1930’s, this type of cocktail was quite common; citrus and vermouth complimenting the base liquor which, in this case, is gin.

The Winter of 2013/2014 will go down in the history books as one of the worst in written history. Couldn’t think of a better Drink of the Day than this one to put an exclamation point on that. This is one of those cocktails that you can make for yourself the next time you get stuck in the house during a big storm. After making one of these, just be sure to raise the glass and thank the heavens above you thought ahead enough to have the ingredients on-hand.

1/2 oz. Triple Sec

1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz. Orange Juice
