Here’s a cocktail that is perfect for this time of year. It was made popular due to the marketing of Gosling’s Black Rum and Ginger Beer to create a delicious rum rendition of the ever popular Moscow Mule made with vodka. If you have never had ginger beer before, this would be a perfect drink to try it. It’s like ginger ale on steroids, giving you a very refreshing natural flavor to your carbonated soda.

The last few years has seen the resurgence of the Moscow Mule has stirred many other cocktails using ginger beer as a mixer. I haven’t had one yet that isn’t refreshing and enjoyable. If you have yet to try one, here’s your chance. A very easy, yet effective and tasty, beverage perfect for the season. Cheers!

Method: Build this in an old fashioned glass filled with ice by first pouring in the measured amount of black rum. Top off with ginger beer. Squeeze in a wedge of lime juice, dropping in the wedge after doing so. Stir and serve.
