Dirty Lake Water is June 23rd Drink of the Day!!

June 23, 2012 | By | Add a Comment

This drink was submitted by Shelly Yastrab from Akron. On the Portage Lakes in our fine home town there’s a bar/restaurant that serves this as their house drink. Harbor Inn has been considered a great destination place in the summer, with a patio that overlooks the lake and a menu that always satisfies. I suggest if you’re ever in the Akron Area, make this your second destination. That’s after you come visit me, of course!

This recipe was worked on by Shelly and me, and we feel these are probably the ratios used in their house blend. If not, we’re pretty damn close. Perfect for the backyard barbeque and for those who really want to enjoy a sweeter cocktail, this drink will keep everyone happy.

Dirty Lake Water
1 1/2 oz. Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
1/4 oz. Peach Schnapps
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
3/4 oz. Orange Juice
Sprite

Method: Take all ingredients except the sprite and pour into a highball glass with ice. Cap with a shaker and shake well. Strain into a new highball glass with ice and top off with sprite.
