Drink of the Day: Airmail Champagne Cocktail

airmail 1Here’s another champagne cocktail for you to enhance the Sunday Brunch experience. It’s nice to have an assortment of these types of drinks in your recipe book, so you can satisfy all tastes when you are having guests over for that early-in-the-day get together.

Nothing like a little enhancer with the bubbly. Just keep in mind that this is more than just your typical glass of sparkling wine. You have the liquor added to take you where you want to go a little quicker. Just be sure to keep this in mind while enjoying your mid-day quaff. Just don’t get too carried away, or you will be doing a little more praying than at your house of worship on this particular day.

Airmail

1 oz. Light Rum

1 Tbsp. Fresh Lime Juice

1 Tbsp. Honey Syrup (3:1 water to honey)

Champagne or Sparkling Wine

 

Method: In a champagne flute, pour the rum, lime juice and honey syrup in to measure. Stir it up with a stir stick to ensure a good mix. Add champagne or sparkling wine. Take a twist of lemon and rub it gently on the rim of the glass before dropping it into the drink.
