Drink of the Day: The Baja Skinny

November 8, 2014 | By | Add a Comment

Here is another cocktail using Borducan Italian orange liqueur as an ingredient. This time, I combine it with tequila and squeeze in some lime and lemon to give it that freshness this type of cocktail deserves. I also used honey syrup in place of simple syrup, just enhancing the other flavors of the drink. Topping it off with soda water gives it the finished body without giving you too much calorie overload. Sounds skinny enough for me to name it what I did. I think you will find this cocktail rather refreshing.

As for the Borducan: I can’t believe the way the orange flavors in this cordial jump out at you, along with the smoothness of the overall experience. Not using a brandy or cognac base keeps from the alcohol from biting too much, giving you a much cleaner and more natural experience. This liqueur can be enjoyed by itself. In fact, I am having some now with coffee to wash it down. A perfect treat for my late night writings, so the Drink of the Day is ready to post for your viewing pleasure in the morning.

Thanks for watching for the Drink of the Day. If you ever have any questions, or would just like to chat, contact me. It would be good to hear from you. Cheers!
