Drink of the Day: Barn Door

If you are a fan of scotch, and want to do a little more than the typical scotch on the rocks today, I have a cocktail I think you will enjoy. Not too much is added to override the back flavor of the spirit; just enough to add some flavor and, at the same time, take the bite out of the liquor itself. The ingredients do a very good job complementing one another.

One thing to remember: You want to probably keep it a blended scotch which is a better mixer in my opinion. However, this may be my integrity talking. Do what you feel would best fit your taste. You’ll be the one enjoying it.

Have a great day, everyone! Cheers!

Barn Door Cocktail

2 oz. Blended Scotch Whisky

3/4 oz. Triple Sec

2 Dashes Orange Bitters

Method: Build this in a rocks glass filled with ice by pouring all the ingredients in to measure. Stir and serve.
