Drink of the Day: Bee’s Kiss

January 25, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

Good Sunday to all of you! Since we are coming into this weekend without football, I felt this would be the perfect day to introduce a cocktail that is only meant to put the exclamation point on “relax”. A very smooth, yet heavy, beverage that is perfect to fill your tummy the rest of the way after a nice meal and put you in a comatose state. You will surely be ready for a nice, long slumber after one of these.

This is a very interesting after-dinner drink. Rum is the base ingredient on this one, and honey syrup is added to give you a nice combination of flavors. If that isn’t enough, the wash on this is a heavy whipping cream. You can tone down the thickness by adding half and half instead, but I feel it takes away from the overall character of the cocktail. Just three ingredients gives you an interesting beverage to enjoy on a nice and relaxing Sunday.

Enjoy your day of rest. Cheers!

Bee’s Kiss

1 1/2 oz. White Rum

3/4 oz. Honey Syrup

1 oz. Heavy Whipping Cream

Method: In a mixing glass with ice, pour all the ingredients in to measure. Cap with a tin and shake well. Strain in a chilled champagne flute.
