The Drink of the Day is the Cool Carlos!!

Rum is always on the top of the playing card, when it comes to summertime drinks, in my book. How can you ever go wrong with a delightful kiwi type cocktail during a hot summer’s day. Getting a buzz on and, at the same time, nourishing your body with some fresh fruit juice is the way to go. Just be sure not to get too carried away with these, because they will go down rather smoothly.

So, put up the beach umbrella, get out a good book, and be ready to top it off with one nice seasonal drink. Cheers!

Cool Carlos

2 oz. Dark Rum

1/2 oz. Orange Curacao

Juice from 1/2 Lemon

1 1/2 oz. Cranberry Juice

1 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

1 Tbsp. Simple Syrup

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, put in all the ingredients to measure. Cap off with a tin and shake to blend the ingredients. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice. If needed, top off with equal amounts of cranberry and pineapple juices. Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim of the glass..
