Drink of the Day: Crown Jewel
To get into the autumn spirit, here’s one for you that will keep your insides warm and fuzzy while the weather starts to cool down a little. Nice thing about this one is that it still offers some fruit flavors to keep you holding onto the summer season. Not only do you get the flavor with this one, but also the look and feel of a hot summer’s day beverage.
A nice blend of coconut rum and Canadian whisky put this in a league of its own. Add to it the fruit and lemon-lime soda and you have a very tasty fall beverage. Enjoy!
1 1/4 oz. Canadian Whisky
1 oz. Coconut Rum
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
Splash of Grenadine
Lemon - Lime Soda
Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour all the ingredients in to measure except the lemon-lime soda. Cap with a tin and shake to blend. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice, leaving an inch of space. Top off with lemon lime soda. Stir and serve.
