Drink of the Day: Funky Monkey

I would order one of these just for the sake of saying the name of it. But, this is not the only reason to have this cocktail. This rum beverage is a great mixture of ingredients to give you another excuse to enjoy it. A perfect combination of rums, banana liqueur and pineapple juice is all that is needed to satisfy the senses and give you that tropical feeling in a glass. And, yes, the name of this gives us the perfect Drink of the Day for a Hump Day!

It is unseasonably cool this time of year in my neck of the woods. I think I may have to start a nice bon fire tonight while quaffing on this tasty treat tonight. Be it by the pool, mingling at a cocktail party, or just relaxing while listening to the ball game on the radio, this drink will be sure to put you in the mindset you are looking for. Relax and enjoy!

 

Funky Monkey

1 oz. White Rum

1 oz. Creme de Banana

1/2 oz. Coconut Rum

Pineapple Juice

 

Method: In a highball glass filled with ice, pour in the contents to measure. Stir. Add a couple maraschino cherries to garnish.
