Drink of the Day: Fuzzy Pirate
Today, I am feeling like a nice spiced rum beverage that will better my typical spiced rum and coke cocktail. Here is one that should do the trick. If nothing else, maybe after a couple of these, I will feel like finding a buried treasure or something.
If you are familiar with the cocktail named, the Hairy Navel, this is close. However, after changing up the vodka for spiced rum, then adding some orange curacao, this will be something different altogether. If you are a spiced rum fanatic like I am, you will enjoy the balance of this cocktail. The subtle notes of spiced rum to go along with the citrus and peach are meant to be together. A very nice after-dinner sweet, but not too sweet, cocktail to finish off a great evening.
If you are having problems finding orange curacao, leave it out of the cocktail. Some of you may enjoy this drink without it anyway. However, I found it a nice compliment to everything else, bringing out another layer of flavor that compliments everything else. A perfect icing-on-the-cake ingredient, if you will.
Hope everyone has an incredible day! This drink will have you talking pirate in no time. Cheers!
