Drink of the Day: La Bomba

I was kind of in the mood for something sweet to have as the Drink of the Day and found this tequila-based beverage. If you are looking for the flavor of liquor in your mixed drink, this is not going to be a favorite. However, if you want a sweet and fruit-filled quencher with benefits, this will do the trick. It even has a sugar rim, in case the sugar already in the cocktail itself isn’t enough for you.

We are only one week away from Christmas Day and in the thick of Hanukkah. Nothing wrong with getting a good list of cocktails together you can surprise your friends with. This would be a perfect addition for those looking for something that will remind them of warmer weather.

Enjoy your last days before your kids are off for the winter holiday. I may have to treat myself to a couple of these.

 

La Bomba

1 1/2 oz. Tequila Blanco

3/4 oz. Triple Sec

1 oz. Pineapple Juice

1 oz. Orange Juice

1 Splash Grenadine

 

Method: Take the cocktail glass you will be using as the finish glass and rim it with lime juice. Dip the rim into a saucer with granulated sugar. Set the sugar-rimmed cocktail glass to the side. In a mixing glass with ice, pour all the ingredients in to mea sure. Cap with a tin and shake well. Strain into the sugar-rimmed cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
