Drink of the Day: Nomad Cocktail

October 29, 2014 | By | Add a Comment

Another Hump Day has arrived! We are at the mid-point of our work week and it’s all down hill from here. Here’s a cocktail that will assist in getting you to Friday. A nice and easy citrus and melon combination that is light in alcohol content yet full in flavor; a cocktail that won’t stir up too much guilt in having it in the middle of the work week.

Combining Midori and Cointreau and using fresh lemon as the mixer, this has a nice and smooth texture that will make a great after-dinner treat.

Enjoy your Wednesday! I don’t say this enough - Thank you all for following the Drink of the Day. I appreciate your input and your patronage. Be sure to tell your friends what we’re doing here and be sure to subscribe. The more the merrier. Cheers!

Nomad Cocktail

1 oz. Cointreau

1 oz. Midori

Juice of one Lemon

Method: Pour all the ingredients in to measure in a mixing glass filled with ice. Cap and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Take an orange rind and twist it over the cocktail so the oils from the peel disperse evenly onto the cocktail. Rub the twist gently on the rim of the glass before dropping it into the drink.
