Drink of the Day: Orlof Cocktail

February 8, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

Here is a nice brandy cocktail that will make a great Sunday-Funday treat for you. If you are not in the mood for that brunch time Mimosa, or any other sparkling wine drink for that matter, you may want to try this sweet treat.

Complementing the brandy, we have melon liqueur, sour mix and triple sec, so this will be on the sweet side. In fact, this is a perfect warm-weather treat that you may find yourself sipping on at poolside as the weather warms up.

Here’s a couple fun facts about brandy:

The word “brandy” comes from the Dutch word brandewijn, which translates to “burnt wine”.

You could find brandy instead of mercury being used in some of the first thermometers in the 1600’s.
