August 29, 2014 | By | Add a Comment

Here’s a drink that goes so far back that the origins of it are unknown. No matter. This cocktail has so many different recipes, who knows what the original recipe is for it anyway. The one I will show you today is one that I enjoy and I think you will too.

This is the perfect Drink of the Day to take us into the weekend. Friday is finally here and it is time to prepare our minds for a nice and relaxing long weekend. This should do the trick. Cheers!

Planter’s Punch

3/4 oz. Triple Sec

1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

1/2 oz. Orange Juice

Juice from 1/2 Lemon

1/2 oz. Dark Rum

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour all the ingredients to measure excluding the dark rum. Cap off with a tin and shake to blend. Strain into a tulip glass filled with ice. Top off with dark rum. Garnish with orange and lemon half wheels.
