Drink of the Day: Red Raider

December 9, 2014 | By | Add a Comment

Good day! Looks like it’s going to be a nice Tuesday here in my part of the country. A little cold, yes. But, what can you expect in December? Plus, I have just the cocktail to keep me warm today.

This bourbon whiskey-based drink is perfect for this time of the year. It will surely get rid of the chill and make you feel nice and toasty inside. A perfect beverage to share with friends during the cocktail hour. The ingredients work well with one another to give you a nice and smooth whiskey beverage, all the while still giving you the flavors of the bourbon. The secondary ingredients are only meant to get rid of the harshness, or bite, of the whiskey to enhance the other flavors the spirit has to offer.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Red Raider

2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey

1 oz. Triple Sec

Juice from 1/2 Lemon

Splash of Grenadine

Method: Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice to measure. Cap with a tin and shake well. Strain into a nicely chilled cocktail glass.
