The Drink of the Day is the Rum Relaxer!

Well, finally someone went ahead and named a Drink of the Day after what rum does for you after a long fought-out day or, in this case fought - out week, since we are introducing it to you on Friday. Rum always tastes better at the end of the work week; at least that’s what I have found. Especially if you don’t have to get up for that next morning meeting and can sleep in a little longer. No hitting the snooze button on the alarm or feeling a wee bit dehydrated all day long with nothing in site to get rid of that nagging morning-after headache. Yeah…..Friday’s a good day to try out something new. A nice and simple-to-make beverage to get your weekend started on a happy note. Sounds pretty relaxing, doesn’t it?

Rum Relaxer

1 1/2 oz. Light Rum

1 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

Splash of Grenadine

Lemon - Lime Soda

Method: Build this in a highball glass filled with ice by pouring in the first three ingredients to measure. Top off with lemon-lime soda. Stir. Garnish with a half-wheel of lime.
