Drink of the Day: Stormy Colada

When I took my first sip of this cocktail, I was amazed at the complexity of flavors that hit every taste bud as I took my first swallow. A very easy drink to make and a surprisingly flavorful beverage. Being a fan of rum, I was more than convinced that this was going to be too sweet for my liking. However, the right combination of pineapple and ginger beer give this cocktail great character.

A perfect rum beverage for those who like a tiki style cocktail without the burden of making a tiki cocktail. A perfect Monday Drink of the Day. Enjoy!

Stormy Colada

1 1/2 oz. White Rum

1 oz. Pineapple Juice

Ginger Beer

Method: Build this in a highball glass filled with ice by first pouring in the rum and pineapple to measure. Top off with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
