Drink of the Day: Tango Cocktail

August 1, 2014 | By | Add a Comment

Wow, the first day of August already! Where is this year going?! I never believed my parents when they said the older I get the faster time would pass by. It seems like only yesterday that I was working New Year’s eve pouring hundreds of glasses of champagne to toast in 2014. And here we are, into our eighth month already.

Here’s a nice and classy gin cocktail sipper to enjoy to bring in the month. This Drink of the Day is meant to be a sipper. The secondary ingredients will take away the bite of the gin, yet leave you with the floral flavors this fine spirit has to offer. So, if you want to get the most out of this drink, be sure to use your favorite gin.

Enjoy your Thursday! Cheers!

Tango Cocktail

1 oz. Gin

1/2 oz. Triple Sec

1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth

1/2 oz. Orange Juice

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in the measured amount of each ingredient. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Take an orange peal and twist it over the cocktail, allowing the oils from the rind to disperse onto the drink. Rub the twist gently on the rim before dropping it into the cocktail.
