Drink of the Day: Xaviera

Good Monday to all! Hope you all had a great weekend. Very nice and short week in store for us this week. So, to help us along, I have found a perfect cream cocktail that will put you at ease.

This cocktail would be a perfect intro to an after-dinner treat on Thanksgiving Day. For the next few days, I will be rummaging through the cocktails to find you some festive ones to enjoy during the holiday weekend. I’m sure a few of you would want to test them out before sharing them with loved ones. At least that will be my excuse.

A great blend of coffee liqueur, amaretto, and triple sec, brought together with cream, will be a nice day-ender. Be ready to slip into something a little more comfortable before getting too carried away imbibing on these. You will certainly be in the mood for a slumber after a hearty meal and a nice liquid dessert such as this one.

Xaviera

3/4 oz. Kahlua

3/4 oz. Amaretto

3/4 oz. Triple Sec

1 1/2 oz. Light Cream

 

Method: Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice. Cap with a tin and shake well. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass.

Optional: For a little more sweetness, take the chilled cocktail glass and rub a wedge of orange on the rim to wet it. Dip the rim into a saucer with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
