Drink of the Day: Baja Skinny
I was perusing my social media this morning and someone mentioned “Tequila Thursday”. Doesn’t sound like a bad idea…..tequila it is!
Several months ago, I was asked by a fashion blog site to come up with a cocktail that was low in calorie and tasty for their followers, and I came up with this. It’s a lighter and healthier version of a margarita, using honey syrup in place of simple syrup, and using fresh lime juice and orange juice to give it that citrus edge. Topping it off with soda gives it a little more life, but not enough to take away from all the flavor this cocktail has to offer.
ReglamMe.com is a fashion site out of Germany and they put the focus on us everyday folk. I highly recommend you checking out their site. Sure, because they allow me to do a story from time to time is a good excuse to check them out. But, they have so much more to offer than my occasional query and are a fun site. If you do go there, make sure to follow them on their other social media sites, as well.
I have also added this drink to the Signature Cocktail list at Twiisted Sushi Grill and Bar in Medina, where I am fortunate enough to be working at. If you are ever in the Northeast Ohio area and want some great drinks and a large assortment of burgers and sushi, be sure to stop in and say hi!
Enjoy your Tequila Thursday with this refreshing cocktail. Cheers!
