Drink of the Day: Bitter Pill

April 13, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

Good Monday morning to all of you.

Here’s the reality: This is the beginning of a long five day work week. Most of you are dreading the long and slow crawl to this next weekend. But, it doesn’t have to be that way you know. An adjustment on the attitude is needed for you to take it in stride, and I think I may have the cure for you.

I couldn’t have picked a better name for a Monday drink of the day. This is a two-liquor combo that gives you just the right amount of wash to take the bite out of the spirits, yet gives you enough back flavor to know the liquor is there. An amazingly smooth drink that is very easy to prepare, so you don’t have to do too much work. Heck, I don’t want you to do too much of that at the beginning of the week. The last thing I want to do is give you an added headache.

So, after a long day at work, it is time to take your medicine and relax a little. Tuesday is just around the corner. So, take your medicine and enjoy the moment. If you take it a day at a time and relish each day, your destination is here before you know it.

Have a great day, everyone! Cheers!

Bitter Pill

Juice of 1/2 Lemon

Method: Build this in an old fashioned glass filled with ice by pouring in the first two ingredients to measure. Squeeze in the juice from half a lemon, discarding the lemon after doing so. Top off with cola. Stir and serve.
