Drink of the Day: Blue Marine

Here we are, another start to a work week. The weekends keep on getting faster, with the warmer weather coming in and so much to do to prepare for the Spring. The start of the regular season in baseball is less than ten days away. Wow, amazing how fast weeks and months seem to be going this year.

I have found a cocktail that is very unique and very tasty. A combination of vodka and butterscotch schnapps, with blue curacao to give it it’s eye-popping color. To throw you off even more, let’s add some lemonade to the mix.

So you want to start your week off with an interesting cocktail to calm your nerves after a long and busy day? How about something unique to get your taste buds going and, at the same time, lower your blood pressure?

Blue Marine

1 1/2 oz. Vodka

3/4 oz. Blue Curacao

1 oz. Butterscotch Scotch

Lemonade

Method: Combine the first three ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice. Add about an ounce of lemonade to the mix. Cap and shake to blend the ingredients. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice. Top off with more lemonade. Add a lemon wheel garnish to the rim of the glass.
