Drink of the Day: Canadian Cocktail

Happy Hump Day!

We are midway through the work week and only a few days away from March, (THANK GOODNESS!!). I was listening to the news this morning and this February in my area will be the coldest one in written history. The thaw out can’t happen soon enough as far as I’m concerned.

To survive the last part of February, I have a cocktail that should keep me warm on the inside; a tasty whisky beverage that is easy to make and just as easy going down. A nice balance of orange and lemon to go along with some smooth Canadian whisky will definitely take the chill off of any evening.

Enjoy your Wednesday and stay warm! Cheers!12-15 canadian cocktail

Canadian Cocktail

1 oz. Canadian Whisky

1 oz. Cointreau

Juice from 1/2 Lemon

1 Tsp. Sugar or 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

2 - 3 Dashes of Aromatic Bitters

Method: Place all ingredients to measure in a mixing glass with ice. Cap with a tin and shake to blend. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Take an orange peal and twist it over the cocktail. Rub the twist gently on the rim of the glass before dropping it into the drink. Tamp down the twist with a stir stick.
