Drink of the Day: Caribbean Cocktail

May 7, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

Having manufactured, flavored liquors makes our lives as bartenders way too easy sometimes. This cocktail is a great example of this. A combination of coconut flavored rum and vanilla flavored vodka make up the bulk of this beverage. Add a little pineapple juice to round things up, and you have a multi-flavored and tropical drink in less than a minute.

I can feel some of you giving me the low brow for using the premade stuff over going all-natural with this island drink. So, I’ll tell you what…..I will go ahead and give everyone the easy way, such as the way I introduce this in the video, and I will also give you the recipe I would use to make this if I didn’t have the flavored liquors. That should make you feel better. Sometimes, I feel a little guilty going the easy route, so this makes me feel a little more at ease.

This cocktail would should make the list as one of your go-tos at poolside this summer. Hard to believe that the summer is only a month away; can’t wait til it gets here, (at least for us MidWesterners)! Enjoy the moment for now and practice up making these until it’s time.

Cheers!
