Drink of the Day: Daisy Mae

April 14, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

This one is for all of you gin lovers out there. An aromatic gem that makes for a great cocktail sipper.

One of the fascinating things about this drink is all of the layers of satisfaction you get while taking a sip of it. Not only do you get the gentle tartness from the fresh lime juice and the slight hint of mint dancing in your nose; you also have the flavor and fragrance of Green Chartreuse to take this drink to a higher level. I must warn you to not get too carried away with this ingredient. It very easily can take over the other dimensions of the cocktail, and you will lose the other parts of the drinking experience when doing so. It is nice to have the ingredients working well together to bring out the best of each element involved in making this. If anything, you may have to put less in to get the balance you are looking for.

If you are looking for a cocktail that gives you as much enjoyment with its aroma as it does its flavor, you have found it in today’s Drink of the Day. Be sure to take your time to savor every sip, allowing your nose to enjoy the experience as you rest the glass to your lips.

Have a great and adventurous day! Cheers!
