Drink of the Day: Georgia Peach
Today is Good Friday, which means a long weekend for many of you. It also means that Sunday is Easter. I do not have any fancy Easter cocktails; just some that, if you are up for it, will keep you refreshed through this long three-day break.
Here is a tasty beverage I thought you would enjoy. Combining peach schnapps and lemonade was ingenious. Whoever came up with this gets a gold star from me. A great vodka beverage that has “Springtime” written all over it. This is a perfect beverage that will go great at any Sunday Brunch, but will go down just as well on a Friday night. I figured since you have the extra time this weekend that I would give you one you could test out today, so you will be prepared to serve it to your friends who want a little more than their Mimosa for their mid-day meal on this holiday Sunday.
Even though I am sharing these Drinks of the Day, I need to take a moment to remind you why we are all celebrating this holiday. It is not to find colored eggs in the yard, or to get the basket of goodies. Remember to love your neighbors, families, and friends. No matter if you celebrate this holiday or not, you may want to take this time to accept everyone for who they are and appreciate what they stand for; the same way they should for you. If we all had this mind-set, there may come a day where all of us could actually get along and there would be no more wars, no fighting in the name of religion, race, or power. Now, that is something to raise your glass to!
God bless all of you! Hope the beginning of your weekend is full of joy and fun!
Cheers!
