Drink of the Day: Keoke Coffee
Now that we are getting into the cooler temperatures, I want to share my favorite coffee drink of all time: the Keoke Coffee. The slight bite of brandy to warm you from the inside out, along with the sweetness of Kahlua and Creme de Cacao gives you a well-rounded treat to enjoy on those cool and brisk evenings.
After spending the day winterizing the yard - raking leaves and doing your final mow - you can treat yourself to one, or maybe two, of these to bring you back to room temp. Nothing like a good coffee drink to get your blood pumping again!
While I sit here writing this, I am thinking of maybe making myself one of these to reward myself for accomplishing another Drink of the Day. Why not? It is Saturday and college football is on. Sounds like a plan to me! Time to start another pot of coffee…
1 oz. Brandy
1/2 oz. Kahlua
Coffee
Whipped Cream
Dark Creme de Cacao
Method: Pour the first two ingredients in, to measure, in an Irish Coffee mug. Add coffee, filling to about a half inch from the rim. Lie two straws on top of the rim and form a “v” with the two straws. While holding onto the straws, add whipped cream. Pour Dark Creme de Cacao lightly on the whipped cream.
