Drink of the Day: Miami Cocktail

March 19, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

Good morning, my friends!

I always look at St. Patrick’s Day being the day that we start seeing warmer weather and Springtime starting to show itself more with buds beginning to be present on the trees and the sounds of many birds finding their way back into my neck of the woods after their migratory flight south for the winter. Yes, we are getting close to a more comfortable climate.

Just to get me in the mood, I have selected a cocktail that is named for a city that doesn’t feel the brisk Arctic air. This rum beverage is a nice refresher for those who want to close their eyes and imagine a more comfortable temperature outside. Yes, this would be a great poolside treat. But, there is no reason we can’t enjoy one today.

We, in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the United States, have had a rugged go at it these last few months. It’s pretty bad when you walk outside and temperature just above freezing feels somewhat tropical. So, since I am getting a little antsy, I feel like something today that will take my imagination to a sandy beach and warmer weather. Join me in enjoying a cocktail we all deserve today - a warm weather one.

Hope your Thursday is a great one! Cheers!

Miami Cocktail
