Drink of the Day: Midnight Express

March 9, 2015 | By | 1 Comment

A good Monday morning to you all! Amazing how that hour jump affects your mornings, doesn’t it? On my second cup of coffee and still trying to get it all together. I think I may have a cocktail for you that will put you in the right state of mind after work. In fact, it may help you go to bed early enough to accept that hour difference and get you going in the right direction tomorrow.

This dark rum beverage is assisted with an orange liqueur and fresh citrus; a perfect sipper to enjoy anytime. Just be sure you are done with your daily duties before indulging.

Again, I am going to introduce Borducan Orange Italian liqueur in place of the Cointreau I used in the video. Since I had the opportunity to try this last year, there really is no comparison to it’s flavor and how it compliments the flavors of the other ingredients. The true orange flavor you get from it is second to none. Cointreau is good. However, if you have the opportunity to add Borducan to your liqueur cabinet, I highly recommend it.

I also have to mention that though you do not see the video when you read this from your email, if you open the link and actually go to my site, the first thing that comes up is the video, so if you have time, be sure to open up the link from the email and check out the video.

Have a great and fun day! Hope the beginning of your week is constructive and eventful. Enjoy and cheers!
