Drink of the Day: Pineapple Upside Down Cake

November 24, 2015 | By | Add a Comment

Not only is Thanksgiving this Thursday, but so is International Cake Day! Since people will be concentrating more on their love for family and a nice hearty bird, I felt I would throw a little passion to this secondary and much forgotten day this year.

I have the perfect, easy-to-prepare cocktail for the festivities. If you enjoy the fresh and moist dessert, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, you will appreciate this beverage named after this famed after-dinner treat. No need to the utensils, folks - just a little thirst for something tasty.

Just for pun purposes here, let’s kill two birds and enjoy this thirst quenching mixed drink after a couple platefuls of good grub after this day of thanks. This will surely put an exclamation point on the after-dinner nap on the lounge chair while keeping up with the football watching from time to time.

Enjoy your Turkey Day and International Cake Day! Cheers!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Pineapple Juice

Splash of Grenadine

Method: Build this in an old fashioned glass filled with ice, by pouring in the first two ingredients to measure. Top off with Pineapple Juice and add a splash of Grenadine. Stir and serve.
