Drink of the Day: The Pacifist
Wow! Friday is here already? For it being a five-day work week, it went by rather quickly. At least in my mind it did. There are probably some of you out there who are saying otherwise.
No matter if you thought the week was too long, or it flew by, I have a great rum/brandy cocktail I would like to share with you today. A nice combination that works well with the citrus and raspberry that is used to bring this cocktail life. A perfect weekend kickoff if I ever saw one. After taking your first sip, I am sure you will be having more than just one.
Hope your weekend it filled with adventure and close friends. Be safe and have fun! Cheers!
1 oz. Light Rum
3/4 oz. Brandy
1/2 oz. Chambord
Juice from 1/2 Lemon
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
Method: Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Cap with a tin and shake to blend. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Take a lemon peel and twist it over the cocktail. Rub the twist gently on the rim of the glass before dropping it in.
