Drink of the Day: Twiisted Candy

Happy Monday to one and all!

For the last few weeks, and hopefully for many years to come, I have had the pleasure of working for a restaurant / bar with a great concept. Twiisted Sushi Bar and Grill, located in Medina, Ohio, not only gives you a great variety of sushi; it also has a nice selection of other foods to choose from just in case sushi just isn’t your thing. So, if you have a loved one that has been somewhat slighted due to you not liking this great Japanese treat, or the other way around, you may have found a home where you can both enjoy your favorite foods. Along with that, I am now managing the bar and they have allowed me to have full access when it comes to creating some drinks.

Every Monday, starting today, I will be introducing a Twiisted Drink of the Day to not only entice you to make this at home, but to also have you come in and try if you happen to be in the area. At the beginning, I will showcase some of the new cocktails I have on the menu already. But, as time goes, I will feature drinks that we will have as week-long specials at Twiisted and will be considered our Drink of the Week.

If you want to know more about our place and are interested in the type of food we serve, check out our website, www.Twiisted.com.

So, without further ado, here is today’s Drink of the Day and Twiisted’s first Drink of the Week:

Twiisted Candy

1 oz. Vanilla Vodka

1/2 oz. Raspberry Liqueur

Orange Juice

Two Fresh Raspberries for Garnish

Method: Build this in an old fashioned glass with ice by first pouring in the first two ingredients to measure. Top off with orange juice. Stir. Add two fresh raspberries on top of the drink for garnish.
