Here’s a nice and refreshing cocktail for all you bourbon drinkers out there. The right combination will take the bite out of the whiskey, but will not not take away from the characteristics of the bourbon itself. In this Drink of the Day, the correct measures gives you something that you can keep you completely satisfied, even if you usually like whiskey on the rocks. It will be a nice change of pace during the hottest of summer days.

With the smoothness of this cocktail comes the ease of drinking it. Be careful not to take this as a non-alcoholic beverage and drink it too swiftly, or you may have to cut the festivities short. Take your time and enjoy every sip.

Kentucky Blizzard

1 1/2 oz. Bourbon

3/4 oz. Cranberry Juice

1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

Splash of Grenadine

 

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in all the ingredients to measure. Cap with a tin and shake to blend. Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
