The Moon Quake Shake Cocktail is May 6th Drink of the Day!!
You have to wonder how some of these cocktails get their name. This happens to be one of them. The Moon Quake Shake gets the Drink of the Day nod, not for just the name, but also its gratifying flavor. Dark rum and coffee liqueur seem to always go well together. Adding brandy and lemon juice to the mix only enhances this fact.
No hiding the fact that this is a liquor filled cocktail. A very good drink, especially with a nice dark rum, you will be awarding yourself if you decide to make this the dessert of the evening. A nice full-rounded beverage to help with digestion. Hope you enjoy!
Moon Quake Shake
2 oz. Dark Rum
1/2 oz. Brandy
1/2 oz. Coffee Liqueur
Juice from 1/2 Lemon
Method: In a shaking glass filled with ice, pour in the first three contents to measure. Take half a lemon and squeeze it in with the other ingredients, making sure to throw away the remnants of the lemon after doing so. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Take a rind of lemon and twist it over the cocktail, making sure to get some of the oil from the rind to disperse onto the drink. Rub the twist on the rim before dropping it into the cocktail.
