Here’s a nice, colorful, and tastefully complicated cocktail that will not only satisfy all of your cravings for a good beverage, it will also be an attractive eye-catcher while mingling in with the crowd. A perfect cocktail for that perfect party, or not so perfect for that matter. We are only days away from April, so now’s the time to learn a nice beverage for the coming months.

For those of you who ask me, “What can I get for my wife that’s unique and doesn’t taste like liquor?”, be sure to jot some notes down on this one. I think you may have a winner here with the missus.

Orang A Tang Cocktail

1 1/2 oz. Vodka

3/4 oz. Triple Sec

1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

Splash of Grenadine

Juice of 1/2 Lemon

3 oz. Orange Juice

Method: In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in the measured amounts of the first four ingredients. Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, discarding the remnants after doing so. Add 3 oz. of Orange Juice. Cap off with a tin and shake well. Strain into a brandy snifter filled 3/4 with ice. Garnish with a garnish flag consisting of a lime half wheed, orange half wheel and a maraschino cherry.
