The Outsider Cocktail is April 26th Drink of the Day!!
What seems to be a rarity, when it comes to using mixers in drinks, is the use of apple cider. Probably because it isn’t something that’s always accessible. With the cocktail I chose for the drink of the day, it is a very fundamental piece to give you the flavor you will be looking for. Even if it’s good for only part of the year, it is well worth socking this away until the time is right. This is one very tasty beverage.
The base ingredient of the Outsider is gin and is complimented well with a combination of apple cider, fresh lemon juice and ginger ale. A nicely rounded cocktail to keep you refreshed and happy. I hope you find it enjoyable. As Benjamin Franklin would say: “An apple a day will keep the doctor away”, why not enjoy something with the apple. I think Ben would agree.
Outsider
1 1/2 oz. Gin
1 oz. Apple Cider
1 Tbsp. Simple Syrup
