Pineapple Upside Down Cake is February 18th Drink of the Day!!

Back in my heyday, this was one of my favorite shooters. However, I am not one to do too many shots nowadays. I’m more into taking in every cocktail sip by sip, enjoying the flavor of each ingredient as they dance around on my tastebuds. Plus, I have become somewhat of a light-weight and would like to enjoy the evening with friends. Doing the shooter drinks tends to shorten my night significantly. So, I wanted to share this beverage with you as a cocktail that you can enjoy on the rocks.

There are a couple ways of making this. The one way that I will share with you will take you no time at all. Even with diluting the sweetness of this with vodka, you will have to have somewhat of a sweet tooth to really enjoy this. As the name of this cocktail states, this will taste just like a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake when made properly.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

1 oz. Vodka

1/2 oz. Licor 43

Pineapple Juice

Splash of Grenadine

Method: In an old fashioned glass filled with ice, pour in the first two ingredients to measure. Top off with pineapple juice, leaving a little room. Add a splash of grenadine.
