Planetary Punch is April 22nd Drink of the Day!!

What started as a day to recognize the natural beauty of the Earth and to appreciate what it has to offer to us in the United States, which we began celebrating on April 22, 1970, it has grown into a world-wide observance and is celebrated in over 175 countries. In some communities, they celebrate Earth Week.

As we all know, it’s important to recognize the beauty of the wonderful planet we are all fortunate to live on, everyday. We, as residents of the Earth should be aware of this by keeping it as beautiful as possible through the deeds we do, such as recycling, throwing away trash properly, keeping our footprint to a bare minimum, etc. We are fortunate to enjoy its awe-inspiring beauty. Let’s make sure we keep it that way for the next generations.

To recognize this day the best way I know how, I am introducing a drink that 360 Vodka came up with for this festivity several years ago.

Planetary Punch
1 1/4 oz. Vodka
3/4 oz. Melon Liqueur
1/2 oz. Peach Puree
1 oz. Orange Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
Maraschino Cherry for garnish

Method: Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
