The Sir Walter is January 12th Drink of the Day!!
Another rum beverage that has more to offer with even more ingredients, all which will be fitting into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. A compact drink filled with multitudes of flavor, it will become a party favorite in a hurry.
Splashes of grenadine and blue Curacao give it a nice hue to go along with its great taste. A perfect selection for today’s Drink of the Day. I think I may have to have one of these myself once I have time to sit back and relax. I’m beginning to believe that brandy and rum were made to be used together.
Sir Walter Cocktail
1 oz. White Rum
3/4 oz. Brandy
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
Splash of Blue Curacao
Splash of Grenadine
Juice of Half Lime
Method: In a mixing glass with ice, Pour in the measured amounts of the first five ingredients. Squeeze in the juice from half a lime, making sure to throw away the lime remnants after doing so. Cap off with a tin and shake. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice.
