The Randy Little Kiwi Cocktail is May 30th Drink of the Day!!

Summer is coming soon, yet the heat in my neck of the woods is already here. I’m wanting something that’s not only refreshing, but also something that will give me some energy to stay alert and keep from getting heat exhaustion. This is why I chose this as the Drink of the Day today.

Not many drinks calls for kiwi in the recipe. After tasting this cocktail for the first time, you will be running to the store to get yourself more. This is one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever encountered. Plus the freshness you get from the kiwi will give you the energy you will need to withstand the drain from the sun.

This cocktail takes some time to make, but will be well worth it when it is all said and done.

Randy Little Kiwi Cocktail

1 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Melon Liqueur

Half a peeled Kiwi

2 Tsp of Sugar

Method: In a pint glass, place the sugar and half kiwi in the bottom of the glass. Use a long muddler and muddle these two ingredients together until the sugar is dissolved with the kiwi. In a tin filled half way with ice, pour in the vodka and melon liqueur. Cap off the tin with the pint glass with the kiwi and sugar. Proceed to shake vigorously. Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Stir with a stir stick and serve.
