The Sgt. Pepper Cocktail is June 1st Drink of the Day!!
In what would shelf any doubt of thier unique writing style and recording finesse, The Beatles reached even newer heights with the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band on this date in 1967. Regarded by many in the industry as the “best rock album of all time”, it stayed on top of the charts in the UK for 27 weeks and in the US for 15 weeks. In many listings of greatest albums of all-time, it’s usually in the #1 slot.
This album was the beginning of the psychedelic rock age. George Martin, the producer of this album, would be remembered for bringing new sounds to the masses with his enginuity and outside-the-box techniques, helping The Beatles reach a level never seen before in the history of Rock and Roll. The album won four Grammys in 1968 and has, to date, sold over 32 million copies.
To celebrate the day the world of music would change forever, I found a nice and easy, yet fully flavoraful cocktail that will not dissatisfy.
