Here’s another old stand-by that has been around since the early 1900′s and was very popular in the 50′s and 60′s. The brandy and creme de menthe combination is perfect for an after-dinner cocktail and a sure crowd pleaser when having a dinner party. It was also an infamous drink for those who wanted to go a little lighter during those “martini lunches” that were common during this drink’s heyday.

I am surprised that this drink is not called out more. It’s a very refreshing cocktail if you don’t overdo the creme de menthe. I am sure that if you’re into the dessert drinks, you will enjoy this easy to make concoction. Enjoy!

Side Note: Using Green Creme de Menthe in place of the White Creme de Menthe changes the cocktail name to The Green Hornet.

Stinger

1 1/2 oz. Brandy

1/2 oz. White Creme de Menthe

Method: You build this in an old fashioned glass filled with ice, by adding the measured amout of brandy, then topping off with white cream de menthe. Stir and serve.
